What is the minimum age for renting from you?

We try to do business with clients who are twenty-five years and older because of our insurance coverage restrictions. On the other hand, based on your situation, whenever possible, we always try to be flexible.

If you are younger than 25 years, try checking in with your insurance company to find out if you would be insured for rental vehicles, particularly for pick-up trucks, after which you can contact us.

Could you accommodate adults who have children?

Certainly! Please keep in mind that using our rooftop camping vehicles you’ll have to climb one small ladder. If this is a problem, we also offer an additional camping tent with each package which you can easily set up on the ground next to your camping vehicle. This may be much more comfortable for both you as well as your young ones.

How many people can your camper trucks fit?

We are able to fit three people maximum, though if there are more in your group, we do provide an extra tent, as well. With this, we are able to accommodate as much as five people. All of our trucks have 5 seatbelts.

Are you able to provide surfboards?

Absolutely yes, we offer both surfboards & boogie boards and also fins on request for a small fee. Simply let us know in advance if you want to rent one, so we can add it to your reservation and have it ready for you at departure.

Am I able to go to any beach for camping?

You may go to any beach, but you should only set up your camp in designated camping sites. This is the standard practice here on Kauai. We’ll provide you with a list of the ideal places to visit and to camp in. Please be aware that driving on the beaches is not permitted on Kauai.

Are we permitted to camp in the wild or are we only able to visit designated camping sites? If so, how much is the cost?

No, wild camping isn’t permitted on the island of Kauai. You should only go camping in official areas with secured camping permits. The charge is approximately $3 per night in most Kauai county campgrounds, but private campgrounds could be a bit more. The good thing about these campgrounds is that you will have complete access to facilities, like bathrooms, showers and picnic kitchen tables. Please be aware that if you choose to camp on the county campsites, you are only permitted to use the ground tent.

Do we have to get Kauai camping permits before our arrival in Kauai?

It is a good idea to organize your Kauai camping permits before your trip. For the majority of private campgrounds, which we always recommend first, you can secure your permits online and also in person in the respective office.
