Are there any age limits to rent from you?

We prefer to work with customers who are twenty-five years and above because of our insurance policy restrictions. But, based on your circumstances, whenever we can, we always strive to be flexible.

In case you are younger than twenty-five, consider checking with your insurance company to determine if you would be insured for rental vehicles, particularly for pick-up trucks, and then call us.

Are your roof top tents family friendly?

Indeed! Please keep in mind that with our rooftop campers you’ll have to climb one small ladder. If this sounds like a problem, we also provide an additional tent with all of our packages which you could set up on the ground. This may be more suitable for you and also your little ones.

What is the maximum capacity of your camper vehicles?

We are able to accommodate three individuals at most, although if there are more within your party, we do have an additional camping tent, as well. With this, we are able to allow for as much as 5 individuals. Each of our vehicles has 5 seatbelts.

Are you able to provide surfboards?

Absolutely yes, we provide both surfboards and boogie boards as well as fins upon request for a small fee. Simply let us know up-front if you want to rent one, so we can add it to your reservation and have it ready for you at departure.

Am I able to visit any beach for camping?

You could drive up to any beach, but you should only put up your camp in designated camping grounds. Here on Kauai, this is the usual practice. We will provide you with a list of the best places to visit and also to go camping. Please be aware that driving a vehicle on the beaches isn’t permitted on Kauai.

Are we allowed to camp in the wild or are we only able to go to official camping sites? If so, how much will it cost?

No, wild camping is not allowed on the island of Kauai. You can only camp in official areas with secured camping permits. The fee is approximately $3 per night stay in the majority of Kauai county parks, but private campgrounds may be a bit more. The good thing about these campsites is that you will have full access to facilities, like showers, bathrooms and picnic kitchen tables. Please be aware that if you opt to camp on the county camp sites, you are only permitted to set up the ground tent.

Do we need to get Kauai camping permits before our arrival in Kauai?

It is a good idea to organize your Kauai camping license prior to your trip. For the majority of private camping grounds, which we always recommend first, you may secure your licenses on the internet and also in person in the respective office.

If you decide to stay at a county campground and use a ground tent, you can ask for permits by visiting the “County of Kauai Camping Information” webpage.

Non-residents need to pay three dollars per night beforehand. Payment methods accepted with this application are money orders & cashier’s checks. But it isn’t absolutely necessary to book your camping licenses before your planned arrival. You may also obtain them at the various permit offices in Kauai, which is usually easier.
