We prefer to do business with customers who are twenty-five years and above due to our insurance coverage restrictions. But, based upon your needs, whenever possible, we strive to be accommodating.

If you are below twenty-five, try checking in with your insurer to find out whether you would be insured for rental vehicles, particularly for pick-up trucks, after which you can call us.

Can you accommodate families who have children?

Certainly! Please keep in mind that with our rooftop camping vehicles you will need to climb up one small ladder. If this sounds like a concern, we offer an additional camping tent with all of our packages which you can easily put up on the ground next to the camping vehicle. This could be more convenient for both you as well as your young children.

What is the maximum capacity of your camper trucks?

We can fit three individuals at most, though if there are more within your group, we do provide an extra tent, too. With this, we can easily accommodate as much as 5 individuals. All of our trucks have 5 seatbelts.

What about surfboards?

Certainly, we offer both surfboards and boogie boards and fins on request for a fee. Just let us know in advance if you would like to rent one, so we can add it to your booking and have it ready for you at departure.

Can I go to any beach to camp?

You can go to any beach, but you should only put up your camp in designated camping sites. Here on Kauai, this is the usual procedure. We will give you a list of the best locations to explore and to go camping. Please remember that driving a vehicle on the beaches isn’t allowed on Kauai.

Is “wild camping” allowed or are we just able to visit official camping sites? If so, how much is the fee?

No, wild camping isn’t permitted in Kauai. You should only camp in designated locations with secured camping permits. The charge is approximately $3 per night in many Kauai county campgrounds, but private campsites may be a bit more. The good thing about these campsites is that you have complete access to facilities, including showers, washrooms & picnic kitchen tables. Please be aware that if you choose to go camping on the county campsites, you are only permitted to set up the ground tent.

Before our arrival in Kauai, do we need to get a Kauai camping permit?

It is a better to get your Kauai camping license before your trip. For the majority of private campgrounds, which we always recommend first, you may get your permits online and also in person in the respective office.
