Is there an age requirement to rent from you?

We try to do business with clients who are actually twenty-five years and older because of our insurance policy restrictions. On the other hand, depending on your needs, whenever possible, we strive to be flexible.

If you are younger than 25 years, try contacting your insurance provider to find out if you would be insured for rental vehicles, particularly for pick-up trucks, and then contact us.

Are your rooftop tents kids friendly?

Yes! Please keep in mind that using our rooftop camping vehicles you’ll have to climb up a little ladder. If this is an issue, we also offer an additional camping tent with every package which you can easily put up on the ground beside the camping vehicle. This may be much more comfortable for you and also your young children.

What is the max. capacity of your trucks?

Our roof top tent camper trucks fit 3 people at most, though if there are more within your group, we do provide an extra camping tent, as well. With this, we can easily allow for as much as five people. All of our vehicles have 5 seatbelts.

What about surfboards?

Absolutely yes, we offer both surfboards and boogie boards and fins on request for a small fee. Simply inform us beforehand if you would like to rent one, so that we can add it to your booking and have it ready for you at departure.

Am I able to visit any beach front to camp?

You can go to any beach, but you should only put up your camp in designated camping grounds. Here on Kauai, this is the usual procedure. We’ll supply you with a list of the top locations to check out and also to go camping. Please be aware that driving on the beaches isn’t allowed on Kauai.

Is “wild camping” permitted or can we just visit official camping grounds? If so, how much will it cost?

Before our arrival in Kauai, do we need to get a Kauai camping permit?

It is definitely a better to get your Kauai camping permits before your trip. For most private campgrounds, which we always recommend first, you can secure your permits online and also in person in the designated office.

If you choose to camp at a county campsite and set up a ground tent, you may ask for permits by visiting the “County of Kauai Camping Information” webpage.
