We try to work with customers who are actually 25 years and older due to our insurance coverage restrictions. On the other hand, depending on your circumstances, whenever possible, we always strive to be flexible.
If you are younger than twenty-five, consider checking with your insurance provider to see if you would be insured for rental vehicles, particularly for pick-up trucks, and then call us.

This could be much more comfortable for both you and also your kids.
What is the max. capacity of your vehicles?
The roof top tent camper vehicles fit 3 individuals at most, though in case there are more in your party, we do offer an extra camping tent, as well. With this, we can easily allow for as much as five people. Each of our trucks has 5 seatbelts.

Certainly, each vehicle has a Kauai guidebook which details maps and information on the best spots to check out & go camping on Kauai.
Perfect Places For Camping Out On Kauai & Information About Camping Permits
Can I head to any beach front to camp?
You may go to any beach, however, you can only put up your camp in official camping sites. Here on Kauai, this is the standard practice. We’ll supply you with a list of the greatest places to explore and to go camping. Please be aware that driving on the beaches is not permitted on Kauai.
Are we allowed to camp in the wild or can we just visit designated camping sites? If so, how much does it cost?
No, wild camping isn’t permitted in Kauai. You may only go camping in specific areas with secured camping permits. The associated fee is around $3 per night stay in most Kauai county campgrounds, though private camping grounds could be a little more. The good thing about these campgrounds is that you will have complete access to facilities, like washrooms, showers and picnic dining tables. Please be aware that if you opt to camp on the county camp sites, you are only allowed to set up the ground tent.
Can you recommend any Kauai camp sites where I can set up the roof top tent?

Do we have to get Kauai camping permits before our arrival in Kauai?
It is definitely a good idea to organize your Kauai camping permits before your journey. For most private campgrounds, which we always recommend first, you may get your licenses online and also on-the-spot in the respective office.
If you decide to camp at a county campsite and set up a ground tent, you may ask for permits by visiting the “County of Kauai Camping Information” webpage.
Non-residents need to pay three dollars per night up-front. Payment methods accepted with this application are money orders & cashier’s checks. However, it’s not absolutely necessary to book your camping licenses before your arrival. You could also get them at the various permit offices on the island, which is usually easier.
How long will it take to obtain the camping permits?
No matter if you choose to camp at a state or private camping ground, both online and in person reservations are possible. Please note that if you decide to go to a county campsite, mail-in applications are easy to submit, however it might take quite a while to obtain your permits. Permits can be obtained at the permit offices on Kauai upon arrival; in-person permits are given right away.
