Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any age limits to rent from you?
We try to do business with customers who are actually 25 years and above due to our insurance coverage restrictions. However, based upon your circumstances, whenever possible, we always strive to be flexible.
In case you are below twenty-five, try contacting your insurer to find out if you would be covered for rental vehicles, particularly for pick-up trucks, and then call us.
Could you accommodate adults with kids?

How many people can your camping vehicles fit?
The camper vehicles fit 3 individuals at most, though in case there are more in your party, we do have an extra camping tent, too. With this, we can easily fit up to 5 individuals. All of our vehicles have 5 seatbelts.

Yes, each vehicle has a Kauai guidebook which details maps and information on the best locations to visit and camp out on Kauai.
Kauai Camping Guide & Camping Permits FAQ
Can I visit any beach front to camp?
You can drive up to any beach, nevertheless, you can only set up your camp in official camping grounds. Here on Kauai, this is the standard practice. We’ll provide you with a list of the greatest places to check out and to go camping. Please be aware that driving on the beaches is not allowed on Kauai.
Is “wild camping” allowed or are we just able to go to official camping grounds? If so, how much is the fee?
No, wild camping isn’t allowed on the island of Kauai. You should only go camping in designated locations with a valid camping permit. The associated fee is about $3 per night stay in many Kauai county campgrounds, but private camping grounds may be a little more. One particular advantage of these camping grounds is that you will have total access to facilities, including showers, washrooms and picnic dining tables. Please keep in mind that if you decide to camp on the county campgrounds, you are only allowed to use the ground tent.
What camping grounds do you recommend with the rooftop tent?
- Kōkeʻe State Park (need camping permit): Kokee Rd, Hwy 550, Kekaha, HI 96752
- Sugi Grove Campground (need camping permit): Access from MohihiCamp 10 Road, starting 100 yards past Kōkeʻe State Park headquarters along Highway 550. Latitude 22.13 N, Longitude -159.622 W.

Prior to our arrival in Kauai, do we need to get a Kauai camping permit?
It is a better to obtain your Kauai camping license before your trip. For most private camping grounds, which we always recommend first, you can secure your permits online and also in person in the designated office.
If you opt to camp at a county campground and use a ground tent, you may request permits by visiting the “County of Kauai Camping Information” web page.
Up-front, the fees are $3 per night for nonresidents of Hawaii. Accepted payment methods with this application are cashier’s checks as well as money orders. But you don’t necessarily have to reserve your camping licenses prior to your arrival. You may also obtain them at the designated permit offices on the island, which is typically easier.
How long will it take to get the camping permits?
Whether you choose to stay at a state or private camping ground, both online and in person reservations are possible. If you choose to go to a county camping ground, mail-in applications are easy to submit, but it might take quite some time to get your permits. Permits can be obtained at the license offices on Kauai upon arrival; in-person permits are issued immediately.
